Renown for Australia’s biggest fishing port, Lakes Entrance is the fishing capital of Australia. Whether you prefer fishing lakes, rivers or ocean, you’ll be sure to catch something here, just ask any keen angler. The man-made entrance allows the ocean to mingle with the lakes and provides a safe harbour for reputedly the largest fishing fleet in Australia. Catch your own fish for tea or try one of the local wines along with your ‘catch of the day’.
