The water and wind are obvious and often trying features,
while the sand and vegetation are natural, beautiful
and provide tests of their own.
But if things are "just not happening" with
the golf, take in the magnificent coastal scenery and
stunning birdlife.
We have over 150 different residents and regular visitors;
eagles, kites and other raptors, honeyeaters and parrots
aplenty (including the rare swift parrot), sea and water
birds in droves and much, much more.
Lakes Entrance Golf Courses
There are two golf courses at Lakes Entrance - the Lakes
Entrance Golf Club is a true links running along the edge
of the ocean beach. Lake Views Golf Course has nine holes
and outstanding views. There's a terrific new
golf course in Metung, at Kings Cove. It is a nine hole/18
tee course in a fantastic setting. The new club house
also offers a fully licensed restaurant and a wine bar.
The Bairnsdale Golf Club is also excellent, on the Paynesville
Road.
Other courses to visit are Tambo Valley in Swifts Creek,
Omeo and South Pines in Lindenow.
You could easily stay the week and enjoy great golfing
every day. The house 'Fairview' is close to the Lakes
Entrance Golf Club - a good choice if you want to stay
and play!
